Lighting Makes a Huge Difference

I got the mini Urban Decay Naked nail polish from a swap box. I desperately wanted the whole set, but the one will have to do me for a while. It's actually a really nice color, a little too dark for me, but still a decent nude. If you were a shade of two darker than me (maybe a medium color when it comes to foundation) this might be a dead-on match for you.

It wore quite well, as I expected any UD color to perform. The only thing that perplexed me was the chameleon-like quality of the color. In indirect light, it looks absolutely perfect for my skin. Under an LED (which is what I use for my lightbox, by the way), direct sunlight, and store lighting it looks a bit dark. I had to get a picture of it in both light sources, just to show the crazy difference. I'd have shown one in direct sunlight...you know, if there was a sun here.

I wish that it looked like the left picture all the time. I'd be in nude heaven. The more I search, the more I realize that Julep's Pippa is the nude for me...or as close as I'll get without making my own.
