My First Emily de Molly Polishes

I've been sitting on these for a long time...as evidenced by the difference in nail length below. I've been quite distracted by makeup lately, indies and not. A friend sent these to me back in May for my birthday, along with an epic horde of polish, and these got pushed even further to the back of the queue. Which is a shame, because these really are some pretty colors.

This glittery topper is lousy with purples. In a good way. I have a sickness when it comes to round glitter...and when you combine that with hidden fuchsia gems, well...I'm a happy camper. I had a little trouble getting the bigger circles out, and there was definitely some dabbing required to get everything just right, but the final effect was definitely worth the effort. I love how this glitter seems to float on the nail. It never looks flat. I think I've found a new favorite.

And because all glitter looks good in matte, I added the OCC matte top coat. Another gift from the same friend, I was worried about this one because I was told it left white crusties...but I had no troubles. it is nearly as matte as the Butter London matte top coat, and a few dollars cheaper. That makes it a winner in my book.

I am not known to kick a good teal out of bed, and I am not going to start now. My lighting/camera makes this look a lot more aqua than it looks in reality. It's got a fabulous flare, and applies pretty easily. I used two coats below, but I maybe would do three next time. I don't like seeing through my nails when I hold them up to the light. Two coats do the job of covering the nail line, so I'm a happy camper here too.
