Let's Talk

No, I'm not feeling chatty today. That is the name of one of the colors I picked up during the Walgreens 99 cent Sinful Colors sale. It's a fabulous royal purple that is nearly impossible to capture. If you google the color, you will see about 18 bazillion different looking swatches. Normally, I am not a fan of purples on me. They just look....weird. But this purple has won my heart. And I fell in love all over again when I added the matte topcoat.

kinda in the sunlight...

hooray lightbox! But really, it doesn't look like this in real life.

<3 matte topcoat on this color

ooooh, the claaaaaaaaaaaaw.

direct sunlight! I also added a little Gilded Lily from Sally Hansen to the ring finger

Gilded Lily seems to be a good dupe for the real gold flake polishes that are out there.  Well, good enough. I'm not buying gold nail polish. That's just silly.

    1. What matte top coat do you recommend?

    2. I've only tried two: Sephora by OPI and the Butter London one I used in this post. I definitely prefer the Butter London. It lasts longer, goes on easier, and give a much more "matte" look. I've heard really good things about the Essie matte coat as well. I had the HARDEST time finding a matte coat around here, though.

    3. Sticking my nose in...NYC Matte Me Crazy is good...and under $2. I've used it and the BL and they're not too different, and the NYC is 1/7th the price. Should I post a comparison sometime?
