Look of the Day: Trying a Darker Eye

I'm back, with slightly less blue hair. Every wash, it gets a bit greener. Oh well. That's why I have a Sally's card, right?

I tried a slightly darker eye today. Bordering on a "smoky eye" but not quite deep enough. I've never successfully achieved a smoky eye. I always feel like I look as though I slept in my makeup, which I guess is part of the idea...I dunno. I just can't seem to nail it. I tried a baby-steps version, and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

I'm still not sure about what to do with lips. I don't have a good nude lipstick/gloss to use, and since my lips are pretty pigmented on their own, it's always hard not to just reach for pinks/berries. Any suggestions would be adored and appreciated.

  1. I actually really like the way your glasses look on you. They are a very flattering shape for your face; so much so that the pictures of you with them on and off look equally good. Mind you, the blue hair is also awesome.

    1. thanks! They are 3 years old now, and have been through quite a bit of abuse.
