SFW Halloween Dotticure

My heart bleeds for people who can't wear wild polish at work. I can't even imagine the horror, especially this time of year. So I decided, in solidarity, to do a few SFW manicures with the Halloween spirit. My first offering is this sorta-understated (for me, anyway) dotticure. It's mostly nude, and I think it'd be office-appropriate, considering the holiday.

Colors Used:
Sally Hansen Stocking Nude
Wet 'n' Wild French White Cream
Wet 'n' Wild Ghoul Time
China Glaze Liquid Leather
L'Oreal L'Orange

You'll notice that I've been using the same few colors in the last few art offerings. I've been feeling a bit blocked lately, nail-art wise. Challenging myself to be creative within the bounds of "only use x colors" has really made my mind work. I think it's working out so far. I do apologize if it's getting boring...sorta.

  2. Any tips on how much polish to have on your dotting tool or how long to leave it against your nail to get the bigger dots?

    1. I am no expert, but I've found that the first time you dip the tool into the polish, you will get a big dot. (often bigger than the tool would lead you to believe) I try not to load up too much polish, just barely touch the little puddle. And as far as leaving it against your nail, the longer you leave it, the more you risk it beginning to dry...which will give you little tails that stick straight up.
