Nail Honey Wanderlust Honey Pots Collection

blogger discount

I'm on an indie makeup bender again, and you're all coming with me. I'm making an effort to try things from brands that I have not tried before...which means there are a lot of brands for me to try. Today I've got the first of two makeup-related posts from Nail Honey! This is the Wanderlust Collection, and it is just beautiful!

I really love how wearable this whole collection is. I think, because the market is so massive nowadays, that indies try to make themselves stand out by doing wilder and brighter shades. Thankfully, there are plenty who let the quality of their stuff do the talking. Even the most SFW color will stand out if it is done right...and these were done right.

Let's check out the swatches!

Normally, I don't apply my shadow "wet". I'm lazy, and it seems like an awful lot of work. Also, I am an idiot on my best days...I wore Wild Child, applied slightly wet-ish (I sprayed my brush with the homemade setting spray...only because my homemade mixing medium wasn't handy.) The color payoff was amazing. I can't believe I waited this long to actually do this! Consider me converted!

These shadows apply easily, and without much fallout. They range from super shimmer-bomb (kindred spirits) to practically matte (chasing fireflies). Now, even with my limited skills, I had zero issues getting the colors to blend together. The first time I tried them I wore Wild Child blended softly from lashline to above the crease, the patted wet across my lid. Even from behind my glasses the color was upfront and visible. It lasted for hours, even in the misty weather we tend to get at the end of summer.

And yes, I actually applied it to my face! I used Blue Jean Baby all over the lid and on the lower lashline. I also smushed a bit of Kindred Spirits into the inner corners. My crease/brow color were from the Chocolate Bar. I kinda love the pearly blue against my green eyes.

Oh! And for the lips, I used another Nail Honey product...but you'll see more of those soon!

So what do you think? Have you tried any of these yet? I highly recommend stopping by soon, the whole set is on sale right now!
