Simple and Safe For Work

Halloween is often a holiday that is over the top. I love that about this time of year, but sometimes it is nice to have something simple...a bit of a breather. Plus, there are you poor souls out there that have to look responsible and professional...so lime green flames and ghost faces are generally out. But considering the holiday, I think a little bit of fun is permitted.

I was cruising Pinterest for inspiration. I didn't want this month to be a slightly adjusted version of October 2013. I came across some paper crafts: bats, hanging circles, etc and was inspired. I decided to lay on some black polka dots over a nice creamy nude...and then add one tiny pop of orange for an almost minimalist nod to Halloween. Even though it is completely impossible for me to center things on my nails...I'm totally happy with how this turned out.

plus, in person the dot of Pixie Dust looked like a wee
cabachon stuck to my nail.
So what do you think? Could you wear something like this to work? I haven't had a business-y job in a very long time, but I never had an issue wearing loud colors or blacks. Let me know in the comments what you plan to wear to work during this most fabulous month.
