Inspiration: Miss Argentina

I know, I know. This should have been a Halloween post. But I decided that it was so happy and bright that it didn't deserve to be pigeon-holed into Halloween. This is definitely more of a springtime manicure than a fall...but I don't care. It makes me happy on so many levels.

Beetlejuice is one of my favorite movies. As a kid I watched it repeatedly. Of course, I didn't get half the jokes that were in it, but it was a visually appealing movie for a kid who liked things a little on the spooky side. One of the characters that stuck with me was Miss Argentina. She was the glamorous ghoul that I aspired to be.

My Version

Colors Used
Octopus Party On a Cliff
Octopus Party Spume Fed
Mystery Franken x2*
Sally Hansen Mighty Mango
Essie E-nuf is E-nuf
NYC Tudor City Teal
OPI Amazon Amaz-Off

I think it isn't terribly reminiscent of Miss Argentina, but I see the inspiration here. Plus I found a franken recipe that really inspired me to try my own...and then some. I may have created a monster with this manicure.

So what is the verdict? Should this have been wedged into October, or is it abstract enough to be out and about post-holiday?

*those mystery frankens have a post of their own coming soon. Don't you worry!

  2. This is freaking gorgeous! How did you do the pinky? It doesn't look like a regular water marble but it's all sorts of pretty. :)

    1. its a normal water marble...but I tried to use a holo in there. OPNL Spirit Mint, to be precise...it showed up not at all...except that it ate into the OPI a bit.
