Transylvanian Accents

 purchased by me

"Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make!"  I dressed as a vampire for Halloween (...and sometimes just because I felt like it) for most of my childhood.  Not a girly vampire either.  I was Count Dracula.  I had parts of the 1931 Bela Lugosi film memorized.  Bunnicula and Count Duckula were also part of my obsession.  I'd drain the color from red popsicles when I could.  I've always been a dork.  Other monsters are cool too, but vampires (just not the sparkly ones!) will always be my favorites.  When I found three of the discontinued Formula X Celestials textures at Ross Dress For Less last month, I knew something Halloweeny had to happen with them.  They paired perfectly with some vampiric shades out of my collection.

Galaxy joined up with China Glaze Immortal.

When searching my stash for vampire shade names, I missed this entirely.  CrazeeCat on the MUA Nail Board suggested it and I'm so grateful!  It compliments Galaxy so well!  Immortal's formula is on the thin and sheer side, so this is three coats, along with two of Galaxy.

Because I've gotta switch things up, almost as a rule, I glossed Galaxy up.

Revolution went with KleanColor Bite Me.

I think this might be my favorite of the three, though that's a tough call.  How did I not wear Bite Me sooner!?  Wow glowy!  It's opaque enough at one coar, but I added a second for depth.  Know what's weird?  It smells like new flip-flops.  Exactly like them.  So strange...but I don't mind because it's beautiful.  Revolution needed three coats.  I like it way more than I expected to.  It reminds me of a finer version of Dance Legend Argus.

The resemblance is even stronger when it's glossy.

I couldn't resist mattifying Bite Me while I was at it.  Hummminah hummmmminah!

Extraterrestrial partnered with OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?

Vant is one of those purples that my camera hates.  I swatched it last year too, but the photos were just awful.  This is a bit better.  Purple's my favorite color for everything that isn't polish, so I'm very picky about purple polishes.  Vant wins my heart completely.  Love!  It's a perfect OPI two-coater too.  More love!  Both are two coats.

Extraterrestrial looks much greener when it's glossy.

Today is the FINAL DAY to enter week one of Wicked Winnings!  Scurry scurry!
