My Nails are Lava-Dragon-Snakes

I love when you have a plan in your head and you are able to execute it flawlessly. I hate when you have a plan in your head and you execute it like you left the better part of your marbles in a public toilet. That is a bit like that happened here...except the outcome wasn't completely terrible.

colors used:
China Glaze Liquid Leather
Cirque Panacea
OPNL Absinthe-minded
Baroness X Tannenbaum Teal
Kleancolors Chunky Holo Black

I had this idea that the glitter would look like scales, and this would be a bad-ass dragon manicure. Well, it didn't quite work out that way. I did a holo-as-fuck seriotype manicure, and then hand placed some glitter over top...and while it is beautifulstunningwow, it isn't anywhere near where I wanted it to be. I'm slightly disappointed and quite pleased all at the same time.

It was, however, a wonderful excuse to take veryveryvery close pictures with my new macro lens...so I got that going for me, which is nice.

  1. While it's not my favorite mani you've done, I do think it looks very pretty!

  2. Those macro shots are amazing! This is one of my favorites actually, even though it didn't turn out like you had hoped.

    1. thanks! The funny thing is how elusive those damnable glitters are! It looks like I only covered half my nail...but really its the whole thing!
