Better Late than Never...

So...this might be a tiny bit tardy...but here's my Halloween post! The light I use for my lightbox died, and I've been fighting an awful cold for weeks, so I've been lagging behind in everything. You should see the amount of laundry I have to do. But I couldn't have you all thinking I abandoned Halloween! It's my favorite holiday, and we dress up to take the monsters trick-or-treating.

And of course...there is the holiday themed nails!

I was going for a "freshly risen, but slightly moldy" zombie nail look. I think I got it down pretty well, but I wanted something a little more...bloody. I still wore the hell out of this for a couple of days.

For the week before Halloween, I wanted a cute manicure. Pumpkins or some shit like that. I settled on Frankenstein nails. This was good practice for me, I'm not really that great with proper paint brushes when it comes to nail art. It was a huge hit with the short folk.

NYC High Line Green
Sinful Colors Black on Black

My final Halloween-icure was the more bloody/bruised version of the zombie nails. Charlie told me it was "pretty scary, but still nice". I'm not sure if that is an endorsement or not.

And of course, I "dressed up"...which mostly consisted of black clothes and scary make-up. Have to dress comfortably because there was a good chance I would be carrying a 26 pound kid around for most of the night. (I didn't, thank god. Thing #2 LOVED trick-or-treating!) I spent most of the evening growling at the kids, which made them giggle. Apparently, they are not afraid of the undead. That might come in handy one day...

Me. No Makeup and still in my jammies.

AHHHHH ZOMBIE MOMMY!

    1. I have a card reader now for my computer, so I shouldn't have to go so long between posts. Previously, the only computer in the house that worked with my memory card was the husbands laptop.
